Austin Floorball Club was founded in 2000 by a group of people dedicated to growing the sport in Austin, Texas. For the last nine years the club has been holding a weekly practice, open to the public, in addition to new player tournaments and activities to encourage an active lifestyle for Austin youth. Attendance at Austin Floorball Club events has never been higher, and we are excited to announce that Summer 2009 marked the first Floorball league held in Austin.

Floorball is a fast paced team sport that is most simply described as a safe version of floor hockey. Played indoors on foot, players use lightweight plastic sticks and a whiffle ball. The game lends itself well to coed play, and kids in Austin ISD schools now play Floorball as well (thanks to Austin Floorball Club!).
